Archived Work (old stuff)
These are mostly works/experiments I made in the 2010's and earlier. I am happy to say many of them involved collaboration with friends.
Experiments with Unity:
Experiments with Facial Recognition:
Interactive art installation made with touch sensors, conductive copper tape, LEDs and a raspberry pi to create an audio-visual output for the Just Add Water Show at the Living Gallery. The conductive tape was placed in a grid pattern with break points that produced six separated sections (one being Ground). When a viewer stepped on a break point and connected Ground with one of the five remaining sections, it would trigger an audio-visual response. The layout was designed to make it a unclear to the viewer what the outcome would be.

In collaboration with band Oh Golly, I designed & programmed a giant shuffler machine for their round robin style show. Four bands were set up to play in the space. At the beginning of each round, someone presses the giant button and a graphic will pop up on screen, revealing which band is to play. At the end of that band’s set, one of their bandmate’s will run up to the machine to decide who is next. The game is programmed so that each band gets one turn per round.

Trial Sized Screwed Up Yacht is a generative poem created in collaboration with poet, Peter Cole Friedman. We created our own database of words and phrases. We then deconstructed lines of poems we really liked and formed several sentence patterns. Using the patterns and database and randomness, I coded generative lines of poetry. As each poem is generated, individual words in the poem are used as “search terms” that query gifs from the Giphy API.
